SOCI 122Social Networks
This course takes a social network approach to the study of society, examining the complex web of relationships— platonic, familial, professional, romantic—in which individual behavior is embedded. Special emphasis is placed on the unprecedented opportunities created by contemporary social media (e.g., Facebook, mobile phones, online dating websites) for answering fundamental sociological questions.
