SE 246Unsaturated Soil Mechanics
This course covers the hydraulic and mechanical behavior of unsaturated soils. Topics include soil-air-water interactions, measurement of hydraulic properties, water flow analysis, effective stress theory, and elasto-plastic constitutive modeling. Applications to foundation engineering, slope stability, earth dams, and geoenvironmental engineering are presented.
