Explains the mergers and acquisitions process. Topics include history, motivation, valuation, legal framework and tax issues of mergers and acquisitions, antitakeover strategies, takeover tactics, leveraged buyouts, joint venture, and strategic alliances. Students may not receive credit for both MGTF 409 and MGT 490.
