This is part two of MATS Academy, intended for the continuation of MATS doctoral students. This course covers topics that are key to success in a doctoral program such as the R1 funding program, the faculty adviser and student relationship, preparation for the MATS comprehensive exam, scientific integrity and responsible conduct of research, effective literature analyses, hypotheses-driven research, research proposals, presentation skills, and outreach and service.
