MAE 166Modern Concepts in Nanotechnology
(Cross-listed with NANO 156.) This course offers a worm’s eye perspective on recent developments on nanomaterials through case studies building on basic principles of synthesis techniques, processing, microstructural control, and unique physical properties of materials in nanoscale dimensions. Particular focus will be given to physical properties and technological applications of nanowires, quantum dots, and thin films. Students may not receive credit for both NANO 156 and MAE 166.
