This seminar, regularly offered in the winter quarter, introduces various literary theories that are essential for graduate studies in the field of literature and other related fields. The list of readings is decided by the course instructor in consultation with the department. The course is required in the first year of the Department of Literature doctoral program. Restricted to major code LT77 or consent of instructor and department.
