HUM 5GSModern Culture (1848–present)
Through the study of selected core texts, this course explores challenges to the Western tradition of cultural and political thought brought about by the significant social, political, and cultural changes since the late nineteenth century, such as the world wars, decolonization, technological innovations, and globalization. Revelle students must take course for letter grade. Students may receive credit for one of the following: HUM 5, HUM 5R, or HUM 5GS.
