HINE 182Conflict: Roots and Evolution
A reading discussion class on the complex historical background to the contemporary Israel-Palestine conflict. The course explores the conflict’s deep historical circumstances, landmark episodes in the last century and a half, contested narratives, and evolving opportunities and challenges. We use our knowledge to imagine various approaches and policies which will help end this tenacious and destructive conflict.
