GPPS 447Conflict and Violence in Latin America
Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the most violent regions in the world. This course aims to introduce students to critical concepts in the study of conflict by looking at evidence from all over the world and then applying those concepts and methodologies to understand and assess debates on both criminal and political violence in Latin America. Course provides an overview of empirical work in the political economy of conflict.
