ENVR 152Indigenous Approaches to Climate Change
Inhabiting landscapes largely altered by colonialism and capitalist exploitation of natural resources, Indigenous peoples are among the major architects of environmental movements focusing on sustainability, land and water rights, and environmental justice. This course will take a global approach in examining how Indigenous communities throughout the world approach climate change and advocate for environmental justice, environmental adaptation, food sovereignty, and ecological restoration.
